Walgreens Policy Regarding BOGOs

On May 5, 2011 I reported via Facebook that the manager at my local Walgreens was refusing to allow me to use BOGO coupons on their in-store BOGO deal; he stated that an e-mail had gone out (that I wasn't allowed to see) stating that Walgreens would no longer take BOGOs for BOGOs.
UGH!!! I then asked to speak to his District Manager, the originator of said e-mail, I was given his number and called from the store front where I was told exactly this:

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

  • When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
  • Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.
Ah Ha!  Now we've gotten somewhere!  I was able to use my 2 BOGO coupons on 4 items, paying sales tax for each!  PERFECT!

The moral of this story is:
