Today's conversations have consisted of:
Isabella: "Mama, can I go water the garden?"
Me: "Sure! After you brush your teeth."
Isabella: "Mama, can I watch Wilbur?"
Me: "Sure! After you brush your teeth."
Me: "Are you ready to brush your teeth?"
Isabella: "After I.... ummm.... I need to go in time out...."
Me: "Why?"
Isabella: "Because I won't brush my teeth."
Me: "How about we go brush our teeth together? It'll be really quick."
Isabella: "No, it's supposed to be 2 minutes."
Me: "What is?"
Isabella: "Time out AND (said very sing songy) brushing your teeth."
Me: "If you brush your teeth, you only have to do it for 1 minute."
Isabella: "No... nopey, nope and no way."
Me: "Fine, go in time out until your ready to brush your teeth."
Isabella: "I won't be ready in 2 minutes."
I am pondering where this child came from... why I have allowed her to become so smart.... and what law school takes 2 year olds?!?!
